Hotel Pennsylvania is OK in terms of the price and location. If you are coming to New York City by the train, the hotel location is great: you just cross a street from Penn Station. Don't confuse Penn Station with Grand Central. However, everything else is below average. The staff are unfriendly. So are the interiors. One shy guy said that his room was like a hotel room in some Eastern Bloc country. (March 2013)
